I'm full of questions tonight! Re: Podfic

I've discovered I can record my own voice on iMovie. I can then save the file as a .mov and it will play in QuickTime Player. But, because iMovie is trying to save the file as a "movie" and not just an audio file, when it plays back it opens as a black box (where the video would play, if there was video.) Is there a way to change a .mov file into an MP3 or something similar? (I'm assuming that the file ends up bigger than it needs to be, too, because of the black screen thing, although I could be wrong on that front.) Can anyone help? Small words are probably called for, LOL.
I'm on a Mac, FYI, in case that wasn't obvious from the iMovie thing.

Date: 2007-10-14 02:05 am (UTC)Have you tried GarageBand for audio? The only problem with GB is the format in which the material is saved. But you might be able to record in GB then import into iMovie. (I had notes on this somewhere...)

Let me know how it goes.
