Gnu fiber bar - espresso chip

Now this bar is considerably less sweet than the others. It contains ground coffee beans, which I think must be what give it the rich, dark, hint-of-bitter taste it has going on. I didn't notice any chocolate chips in it (even though the ingredient list says they're in there, but maybe they sort of melted during the process or, LOL, during the time the box of bars sat outside my side door?) but it does have a chocolate-y taste, it just isn't strong. This was nice. I didn't like it as much as banana walnut but definitely more than chocolate brownie. Not sure I would get it again unless I was in the mood for what it delivers, which is a semi-strong coffee *pow*.

Various kinds of crack!

• Chobani Nonfat vanilla greek yogurt with a handful of diced cherries stirred in. Better than ice cream. 16 g protein and SO GOOD.

• Quaker Cracker Jack Butter Toffee rice cakes. Okay, so they're not technically all that good for you, but I was craving something sweet and crunchy, and one did the trick nicely for only 60 calories.

• LUSH OMG!!! I've been getting the catalogs for ages and reading them with much interest, but a store just opened at our local mall and this was the first time I'd actually been into one. Mr WG got a couple of solid shampoo bars to take to the gym with him, the boy got two bath bombs (Big Blue and The Happy Pill) and I got some soap (Sexy Peel and Rock Star) and very small amounts of two different facial cleansers (Coalface Cleanser and Angels on Bare Skin) to try out, and a tiny sample of Skin Drink moisturizer, and then we got a few little soap samples, too. The girls who worked there were so nice, and so enthusiastic about their products, and spent ages talking to the boy and showing him things. Now I just hope I end up liking the products as much as I liked shopping there! I'd love to hear about which products other people like, if you feel like sharing...

• Yard sales!!! We went out to hit just a few that sounded good this morning, and had fantastic luck. At the first one we got a huge, like-new suitcase (much nicer quality than the smaller one I paid more than twice as much for at Target a few months back), 3 good quality fishing poles for $10 total (we'd been talking about buying some inexpensive ones to mess around with), and a pizza paddle (for sliding homemade pizza onto the pizza stones). Then, at the second one, we got a tackle box full of hooks, weights, etc, 5 books for the boy, two DVDs (one Pokemon and one Muppets), a brand new Science kit with magnet experiments, a flag for the front porch, and a board game for a total of $5. Finding the fishing supplies at the second yard sale after getting the poles at the first one really clinched the success of the day, I think. It was very satisfying.
