Milk Moon 2007 (A Little Lunacy)
A fertile scent, generous, life-affirming, and swelling with a sense of triumph, warmth, and abundance: sweet milk, golden honey, fig fruit, pomegranate, dates, and white grape.

In the imp: Very sweet and fruity with a faint hint of flowers.
Wet: The sweet disappears, leaving a much stronger flowery scent and a little wisp of dates.
Dry: OMG STRONG FLOWERS.
Later on: The flowery smell has faded now, and it's sweet in a mellow, almost resin-y kind of way. There's a little bit of honey and fruit; it might be the fig and white grape. Delicious. If I thought it would taste the way it smells, I'd lick my wrist.

Lust (The Seven Deadly Sins)
Uncontrollable passion and insatiable sexual desire: red musk, patchouli, ylang ylang and myrrh.

In the imp - Sweet and resin-y, with what I think are the ylang ylang flowers in the background.
Wet - Strong resin smell, like incense. Hint of sweetness.
Dry - The resin is still there, but it's faded into the background now and the sweet/flower smell is stronger. The combination of scents reminds me of dragon's blood resin.
Hours later - Warm, rounded scent like dragon's blood resin, but not as sharp. Sweet.

Oh I haven't tried those yet. They sound like they smell gorgeous. I love those little vials of oil. I could spend a mini-fortune on them.

It's so cool and gimmicky! Plus, they smell yummy. :-)

Oh, that's interesting! I have an imp of lust, and it smells really different on me. It reminds me of leather, or skin, with faint roses in the background. I think I like how it smells on you better! ;)

I'd imagine plenty of people would like the smell of leather, though! But it *is* so interesting how different scents smell different on different people (although I suppose one could also argue that everyone perceives smells differently.)

I think it's a little bit of both, really. But since what I smell is what I smell, it doesn't matter why it's like that. In my opinion, at least!

Yes, you're probably right. And yes, in the long run, all that matters is whether it smells good to you or not. If everyone else insisted it smelled great but to you it smelled like manure, it's not like you'd keep wearing it. ;-)

I am so jealous. Dragon's Blood resin smells like the most horrible kind of cloying floral ever on me (I don't like florals at all) so it is yeeeuch for me.

But both of these sound just lovely for you, so yay! It's always good when you're first couple work, because then you're eager to try more, instead of dreading it.

I'm not a huge fan of florals, either, in general, but for a couple of years in college I didn't wear anything but Dragon's Blood, so the smell of this stuff sort of takes me back. And the Milk Moon is just AWESOME. It's *very* cool that the first two I tried are both yummy.

On me, Lust smells like OMFGPATCHOULI!11!!

And every time I put on Milk Moon, my entire family makes gagging noises and says "What are you WEARING?" (It apparently smells strongly of spoiled milk on me.)

You know, for all I know this DOES smell like patchouli and I just can't tell the difference! I like the Milk Moon better. Do people ever "rate" scents (like, on a scale of 1-10 or something?) I think I'd call Milk Moon a 9 and Lust a 7.75, maybe. I've made Mr WG smell both and he just kind of shrugs like they smell okay to him but what does he know. And then, him being a guy, he asked if the fact that tonight's was called Lust "meant anything." LOL!

You know, I have a whole bottle of Milk Moon that I will never, ever, ever wear. Let me know if you'd like to have it.

If you seriously don't mind passing it on, I'd love to have it, but if you'd rather save it for a trade with someone who's not such a newbie, I'd totally understand that, too. You've already been so generous!

I've just taken a shower and I'm trying to decide which scent to try next. :-D
