Have any Robert Carlyle fans seen Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School? Very good. It's a little bit of a chick flick, but not so much so that guys who don't like chick flicks would hate it, I don't think. If that makes sense to anyone but me. RC is really, really charming, in a real-person sort of way.

Have any Vincent Kartheiser fans seen The Unsaid? I've just started it up.

Pretty sure even Fod said it was bad.

You know, pretty boy has a habit of being the one best thing in a bad production. His only exceptions are AtS and Madmen- oh and that one movie where he's naked.

You know, I thought it was pretty good. I mean, not great, but certainly not terrible. But maybe I'm just easy? Well, we know that already... :-P

I've seen Marilyn Hotchkiss'.... And I agree - it's really good. And I like how they spliced the short into the full-length movie as the backstory.

I didn't see the short (I should have) but I can make an educated guess about what it consisted of. It was a good movie. :-)

I didn't see it either, but from what I've gathered, it's basically all the stuff between John Goodman and Robert Carlisle and the stuff of the kids at the school.

And you want to hear something interesting? The blond kid in the flashbacks is played by the same actor that's the baker's assistant/co-baker.

Oh, really? That's kind of cool. :-D

Now I kinda want to watch the movie again. :-D

And I have to admit that while I find Robert Carlisle attractive, I don't find him overly attractive, but whenever he does a love scene - whoa *drools*. (Go figure.)

He really is lovely, isn't he? He's not conventionally attractive at all, I don't think, but there's something incredibly compelling about him all the same.

Oh, he is. And I completely agree with you. :-D

I'd never heard of The Unsaid before now, but I just poked the amazon summary and reviews and now kinda want to see it. *mp, lazies and posts from RP account*

Hee! That's okay, I knew it was you. *Smooch* I just finished watching it and it actually was fairly decent. Not incredibly brilliant, but there wasn't a lot of it that made me insane, so, you know, in the grand scheme of things, pretty okay. Plus, VK!

Oooooooh, Marilyn Hotchkiss is the *best*. I love Robert Carlyle. I finally rented '28 Weeks Later' so i could watch him. Of course, then i had bad dreams. Ack! But he dances *so well*.

My favorite movie of his is 'Ravenous' - totally freaky and funny and weird and slashy.

I love Robert Carlyle, too, and I didn't even realize he was in Ravenous, which I've wanted to see for a long time, so thanks for the tip! I'll have to add it to my Netflix queue. Still haven't seen 28 Weeks Later either, but definitely want to. :-)

I've seen almost every single RC movie out there, and i loved them all. I mean - yes, i'm a little biased 'cause of the love - but he's *such* an excellent actor.

Try also 'Go Now', 'Carla's Song', 'To End All Wars', 'The Might Celt'... Hell - everything on his IMDB.com page.

I loved Marilyn Hotchkiss..., but then I'm a total sucker for a romantic dance movie. Carlyle was the best thing in it. I really enjoyed the "making of" story of how the short film was made/integrated into the feature-length movie!

Dance movies don't really do it for me overall, but I liked that one! It was good. :-)
