I did our taxes today. It took ALL DAY -- from 8 am until 3 pm -- but they are done. *Whew* I feel like my brain melted. Huge relief to have them over with, though. :-)

ETA - I cried THREE TIMES in sheer frustration during the process, but flaming_muse made everything better because that's what she does. *Loves on fm*

Very wise of you to put it off, in that case! We ended up getting a very small amount back, which is the way it's supposed to be if you overpay, but I can't help being a little disappointed not to get a nice hefty refund. :-P

Self-employment is not thrilling at tax time. And, as I have so few deductions, and no dependents, and a shockingly small income I do them myself. With a No. 2 pencil and a hand calculator. It actually gives me a tremendous feeling of self-esteem and accomplishment.
