Zoe: [jumps up on desk and stands directly in front of computer screen]
Me: [picks up Zoe and sets her on floor]
Zoe: [jumps up on desk and stands directly in front of computer screen]
Me: [picks up Zoe and sets her on floor]
Zoe: [jumps up on desk and stands directly in front of computer screen]
Me: [picks up Zoe and sets her on floor]
Zoe: [jumps up on desk and stands directly in front of computer screen]
Me: [picks up Zoe and sets her on floor]
Repeat ad infinitum

Zoe: [goes to sniff our other cat, Molly, who doesn't really care for her]
Molly: [hisses and raises claw in warning]
Zoe: Aw, come on. You know you like me.
Molly: I hate you. Stay away from me.
Zoe: Come on. I know that deep down you really like me.
Molly: Deep down, I hate you with the passion of a thousand red-hot suns. Go away.
Zoe: But look how cute I am! Plus I'll let you lick me. You know you want to.
Molly: Fine. [sighs and starts to groom Zoe reluctantly]
Zoe: [purrs and falls over on side]
Molly: I knew I hated you! [hisses and claws Zoe]
Zoe: [runs away]
One minute later:
Zoe: [goes to sniff Molly]
Molly: [hisses and raises claw in warning]
Zoe: Aw, come on. You know you like me.
Repeat ad infinitum

Me: C'mere, Zoe. Want a treat?
Zoe: [comes over and sniffs fingers] You're gonna pet me?
Me: No, look. A TREAT. [shoves treat in Zoe's face]
Zoe: Ooh, petting! Yes, pet me!
Me: No, stupid, there's a TREAT... oh, forget it.
Repeat (you guessed it) ad infinitum
