Random schlock
Oct. 17th, 2007 11:47 amYesterday, the boy's school called just after noon, saying that he wasn't feeling well, had a very runny nose and a cough (but no fever), and could I come pick him up. Which of course I did. And I won't deny that he did have a runny nose and a bit of a cough, but he also had a huge grin the moment he saw me and couldn't wait to get home so he could have a snack and play. So, not so much with the "sick enough not to be at school." He went back again this morning, after a dose of antihistamine and cough syrup just in case. No word from them yet, although it could still come.
Here's the description of one of the "On Demand" movies currently available from our cable company:
A nerdy teen calls a help line to get some advice on dealing with some mean kids at school. The advice works great. Everyone lives happily ever after. Accept the mean kids. Who are dead.
I think I have to watch this movie now because I feel bad for it. Seriously. "Accept?" Who the hell is writing these things? Can anyone guess which movie it is?
ETA: It's a really crappy movie, is what it is. I've already given up on it.
I had tea and toast for breakfast. It's cold here. Brr. We're having some hard landscaping (aka bricks rather than plants) done in the backyard and our driveway is completely full of huge bricks, very small rocks, and a massive pile of dirt. There is no driveway, there is only Zool.
