No, that is not a euphemism.

My son wants one of these plasma ball things for Christmas. But I've waited too long to order one online without stressing over whether or not it will arrive in time, so I want to go to a store and buy one. Has anyone seen one of these things in an actual store? I can find them online easily enough, including on Target's website (but it's one of those items that they carry on their website but not in stores). Anyway, if you've seen one anywhere lately, can you please tell me where?

How about "Spencers Gifts?" (If you have one in your town.) Also, they have them at Amazon and can guarantee 1 day shipping on some things if you order it very, very soon.

If you don't find one - maybe wrap up a card in a box saying GOOD FOR ONE VISIT TO THE Museum of Science AND A PURCHASE FROM THE GIFT SHOP. I feel like the gift shop there should have them, though I haven't been there for at least ten years.

I second Spencer's Gifts for walking in and getting one, and add that the magic of store locators tells me there's a Spencer's at the mall in one of the many Salems in this country which in no way reveals where you live because there are 32 Salems including one in my own state but I don't mean that one unless you want to come visit me. Hmm. Never mind; I mean that one.
