Someone on my flist or friendsfriends had some awesome posts about the Twilight series and how they're so bad for girls to internalize. I think the person who wrote the posts is familiar with Mormonism? I know I'm going to smack my head when I find out who it is, but can someone please enlighten me?

Funny posts: http://stoney321.livejournal.com/317176.html Goes through them book for book.

And on a more serious note: http://stoney321.livejournal.com/430345.html

There are links to other posts within those posts about them. I sent these links to a friend of mine wondering if she should let her 10 y.o. daughter read them.

I can't point you to those posts, but I can tell you (and I did post about it myself) that Twilight is VERY heavily Mormon-influenced. Knew the author was Mormon from the first book, and there are anvil-sized clues all throughout the series (e.g., the bad vampires, the HQ of the non-converted vampires, the Native Americans) if you know how the LDS Church works.
