janedavitt and I wrote together, Act of Nature, is also the star main character of the novel we've just finished. It's an AU version of John that presumably never met Xander and Giles (although it's possible there's a way to reconcile the two alternate universes, Jane and I really didn't try to) and it's slash, and we're hoping to sell it once it's no longer a rough draft.
Anyway, that's just so people know, since it seems like quite a few of you have expressed love for John. (Oh, and that fellow in my icon is Nick, the story's other main character. No, really, that's Nick. It's not an Israeli actor named Eyal Podell. Honest.)
