The "I'm Kate Fucking Harding" meme...
Apr. 27th, 2010 08:28 pmI got some great responses to my meme post yesterday -- people sharing the things they're particularly good at. If you missed my post, please go back to it, read the wonderful things people had to say about themselves, and please, please consider sharing something of your own!
A few people pointed out that I hadn't participated in my own meme, LOL, so here is what I responded to
tsuki_no_bara's post -
I bake AWESOME cakes, and pretty darned good cookies, too. I think I'm a pretty good writer, and consider myself particularly good at writing dialogue and capturing character's voices. I'm very good at keeping on top of things (I'd make an excellent personal assistant if there were ever anyone I could bear to work that closely for, LOL). I'm great with animals and kids, and have a real knack for putting my finger on the best place in a tide pool to find crabs and starfish. I start conversations with complete strangers if they're giving off an "I'm stressed" vibe and try to make them feel better.

I've actually bookmarked a few things over at my delicious account over the past couple of days, so I thought I'd post them here too in case people were looking for something to read.
Very random collection. Some new to me, others old favorites.
Junk Cheap by DevilDoll. SGA McKay/Sheppard, complete AU with Rodney and John living in the same apartment building. John runs a junk shop in the most haphazard way possible, and Rodney is horrified by life in general, LOL. LOVE this story, which has a most excellent sense of humor.
The Just One Breath 'verse by Kkgee. I've really only read the main story at this point, but it's so good that I feel confident in recommending the whole series. J2 with tons of delicious hurt/comfort.
What I Planned by Poor_choices. Short but wonderful story. Supernatural, Dean, Sam, kids. SO GOOD.
Not one, but TWO post-apocalyptic zombie stories. Queer as Folk with many characters but Brian/Justin as the main pairing. Whenever You're Ready and The Long Road. Many thanks to
aimeelicious for pointing these out!!
