I've finished the Sentinel story I was writing for ponders_life, yay! It should be posted within the next day or so, hopefully.

I've been taking photos of daily life stuff because I sort of wanted to do the Day in the Life photo meme that some other people on my flist have been doing, but then I looked at the directions more carefully and they're all "you have to post EVERY day, you have to note the time of every photo (which my camera doesn't do, so it's too late now" blah blah blah, so now I'm trying to decide if I should just say screw it and make up my own rules for the meme, or not bother, or what.

Writing fic for charity!

kc_risenphoenix is participating in the Kansas City '08 Aids Walk and looking for sponsors. I made a small donation myself (and wish I could give more) and I thought I'd offer to write fanfic in exchange for people's sponsorship of him in this fundraiser, if anyone is interested. (kc_risenphoenix has posted about the fundraiser here and here if you want to read more.)

Here's how it works:
1. You comment here with your fic request.
2. We come to an agreement about the fic I'm going to write.
3. You make your sponsorship donation here, making sure to use a "display name" that will let me know who you are so there's no confusion.
4. I write fic for you!

What I will write: Any fandom I've written in before, possibly some I haven't, most pairings. New stand-alone stories, stories in 'verses I've written in before, continuing seemingly-abandoned WIPs. Slash, het, gen.

$1 = 100 words / $10 = 1k words minimum
Thusly, a $30 donation would guarantee you a minimum of 3k words. A $50 donation would guarantee a minimum of 5k words.

I can't guarantee that I'll be able to write all the fic people might want -- if I reach a cut-off point, I'll let you know. And I don't guarantee that it will be produced super-fast, but I do promise that it WILL be produced. I have not yet defaulted on fic I promised to write for charity and I don't intend to start.

Fic: Time to Find You (Sentinel)

I agreed to write 5k words of Sentinel fic for ponders_life in exchange for her generous donation to fire_fic. She's been very patient with me, and this is only my second foray into the fandom, but here it finally is.

ponders_life's request: Set the story in 2008 (or at least a few years after TSbyBS). Take a guest star character and have him/her/them cross paths with Jim and Blair again. Jim and Blair separated after rift, third party is catalyst for reunion. Must end on an upbeat/hopeful note.
