I'm looking at listings for David Hewlett's movie "Treed Murray," which is also called "Get Down."

This DVD version of Get Down,
which came out in 2004, costs $6.99.

This DVD version of Get Down, which came out in 2003, costs $21.99.

I can't find a difference between them, but maybe I'm missing something really obvious? It would make sense to me if one was fullscreen and the other was widescreen, but I don't see where either listing gives that information, and I'm so confused. I totally wouldn't want to pay $22 if I could pay $7, because, well, that would be kind of dumb.

(The version with the Treed Murray title doesn't appear to be available new anymore.)

I need a beta for the next story in the "On Life and Living" series, which is OMG SO CLOSE TO BEING FINISHED. I could probably finish it up in an hour's time later tonight, and would be able to email it this evening. It's, I don't know how long, somewhere near 19k words I think. I'd like someone to read it looking for typos/etc and also for coherency, since I wrote it in a very out-of-order fashion and very likely messed some things up. I'd like it to be someone who's already read the rest of the series (which you can see here if you need to remind yourself.)

Is anyone available?

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire.

No further studies are planned at this time.

The next On Life and Living story is finished!!!!

My relief is immense; not because I didn't enjoy writing it -- I did -- but because it felt like it took me forever. 21k words. It's been sent off to the betas (who deserve massive thanks for taking it on).

YAY!!!
