Thanks very much to everyone who chimed in with info about websites/domain names yesterday. We're in the process of setting up a website for my nephew (for fundraising purposes and so that people can keep updated on his condition) and my lack of knowledge in this area is definitely an issue in my understanding of the discussions taking place! My fic website is on "free" space (that we get as part of the package through our ISP) so I've never dealt with any of this stuff before. Figuring out the most effective and least expensive way to go about the process is a significant challenge. (Um, for me, anyway.)

Today there will be a trip to the library, the baking of cupcakes, the cleaning of house, and an attempt not to fall asleep while doing any of these things. Wish me luck! LOL.

Rodney McKay is everywhere.

No, really.

We went to a dinosaur show (for kids) at the library, and the paleontologist reminded me of Rodney. Well, a Rodney that actually likes kids. He was such a geek, in a delicious way, but he obviously loved dinosaurs and fossils and he was just having such a great time.

And then I thought, someone should write an Atlantis/Jurassic Park crossover, in which Rodney is the Alan Grant character (who doesn't like kids!) and John can be the helicopter pilot that gives Rodney a ride to the island and then gets lost in the jungle with him. Someone should write it for me! They should they should.

More about domain names

So let's say Mr WG already has web space for his professional website, and that there's plenty of space there for a few pages for my nephew's health updates etc. But Mr WG's web space's url is MrWG.com (um, not really... that's obvious, right?) and the domain name we want to buy for my nephew is Nephewfund.com. Is there a way for both of those domain names to share the same web space?
