Just a few because we're preparing for having a whole crowd of people over for the SuperBowl tonight...

[livejournal.com profile] stillane's Linguistics, which I found to be utterly beautiful in the way that a stark black and white photo is -- there's so much here, if you're willing to take the time to look, and as soon as I started reading it I was completely hooked. This is just my kind of thing. You know, in case you were wondering. McKay/Sheppard, NC-17.

[livejournal.com profile] trinityofone's Down From Mt. Olympus. This is one of the most fucked-up pictures of John Sheppard that I've seen, and I don't mean it in a bad way. Love this. McKay/Sheppard, NC-17.

And the immensely talented [livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock not only finished Bell Curve, but she also wrote a sequel of sorts, Learning Curve, and she wrote a story that takes place in the same universe as her AU "Hindsight," called More Than. I love Hindsight. Read these!

Ack!

There are so many people in my house and they are so loud and OMG *splodes*

On the other hand, none of them seem to actually give a shit about the football game (if the fact that when I went downstairs again none of them were able to tell me which QUARTER it was,) and I was able to drag one of them upstairs with me and make her watch Firefly vids, ha!

Now the boy is trying to go to sleep, poor thing. He doesn't want me to shut his door because he likes it opened a crack, but that means he can hear everything downstairs (our house is tiny and the acoustics less than desirable for this sort of thing.)

Ack! *Eats cake*

This fic is for the very patient [livejournal.com profile] ponders_life in exchange for a donation to [livejournal.com profile] the_fund.

The specifics of the request )

I decided that posting it in parts might help keep me going, although over the past few days the last of the questions I had about the direction in which the fic was going have been answered and I feel confident that I'll be posting a minimum of 2-3 parts per week. I expect there to be somewhere between 6-10 parts.
