I feel sure you'll be seeing this story rec'd to hell and back in the next week, but I had to make sure I did my part to see that no one misses it.

What I've been up to

My laptop is still screwy, and I only expect it to get screwier. I've moved everything on it of value to both the iMac and the G4 so that I have backups of everything, and now I'm just waiting for it to crap out entirely, at which point I'll take it in the shop to be looked at and then decide whether it's worth fixing it or not.

I haven't been writing at all, with the exception of the RB fic flaming_muse and I are writing.

The new cat goes in to the vet tomorrow morning to be spayed and checked out. I'm nervous about the surgery because she's not young, but they're going to do a bunch of bloodwork first to make sure that her body can handle the anaesthesia, so I'll try not to worry. She won't come home until Wednesday.

It's meant to snow tonight and tomorrow, of course, when I have to take the cat to the vet and the boy to his class at school. We did put away all the holiday things. My broken toe is still very sore, but my mom bought me slippers so that I hopefully won't hurt it again. Supernatural starts back up tomorrow night, I think! (I hope!) I've missed it to the point where I've been watching the repeats when they're on, so I'm happy it will be back. It might not be fine art, but it's fun and the actors have good chemistry.
