Our modem seems to be in the process of dying -- it wouldn't work at all yesterday and the tech guy I talked to on the phone couldn't get it to respond from his end, either -- so my internet etc is spotty at best right now. If I don't reply to something, that's why.

You most definitely want to go read mogigraphia's The Gravedigger, which is a heck of a story. Original slash, real and honest and powerful. I was blown away.
