I don't remember where this recipe came from originally. We normally don't eat beef, but very occasionally we buy the very expensive grass fed, hormone and antibiotic-free version from Wild Oats.

Hey, what do you know? I've never actually seen the pilot episode. I got disc 1 of S1 from Netflix, figuring I might as well just start from the beginning, and nope. Never saw this before.

Hee! Retired Jack O'Neill is so sarcastic and disrespectful. *Loves on him*

Kleenex!

Jack in civilian clothes, with a leather jacket. Squeak. Clearly I am not one of those people turned on by men in uniform, because I like him better out of it. Ooh, did I say that?

Sam said "To MACGYVER a system!" ROFL

Awww. Sam and Daniel are geek-bonding. :-)

Wow, they're really pushing this "Daniel is allergic to everything" gag for all it's worth, aren't they. I don't remember him sneezing all the time in other episodes I've seen. Did they just give up on it? Or did they prescribe him some really strong antihistamines?

Whoa. Naked Sha're. Not that I'm complaining, mind, but I wasn't expecting that. I don't recall seeing any other nudity on the show, but maybe I just haven't seen the right episodes. ;-)

Oh, okay, I've seen this part where the Goa'uld have everyone in the chamber and are 'choosing the Children of the Gods.' I notice that Jack's all dismissive of Daniel's wanting to rescue Sha're, but when they choose Skaara, he's no longer so casual about the whole thing, is he.

I'm not sure I get why Teal'c is turning against his people here and helping Jack. I mean, I'm happy about it, but I'm not sure I understand. I'll just assume this gets explained at some point.

Jack: "For this, you can stay at my place." LOL!

Skaara has pretty hair. *Covets*

You know, Daniel's glasses are really big. But he also has pretty hair.

Wow, do those rocks look fake. Get some real rocks, guys. That's just sad.

Aw, everyone's safe and now there's hugging and kissing. How sweet.

Isn't there a Star Trek TOS episode with the same title?

I'm happy about the continuity with Kawalsky that's carried over from the pilot.

Hee! Jack: "Hey. Am I interrupting anything?" Teal'c: "Yes." I like that Teal'c's first concern is the people from Chulak. (Speaking of which, what would those people be called? Chulakians?)

Ack! Agh! Kawalsky! Goa'uld larva! Eeeeeek. Ick.

Awww. Poor Kawalsky. It really sucks to have a big ole parasite using your body as a playground.

Is there any Jack/Kawalsky out there? *Pets them*

Eep. They're going to operate on him now. Icky. *Hides eyes* Episode dialogue: "Blah blah filament, blah blah ganglion, blah blah clamp." Ewwwwwww horrible larva thing. Hey! Kawalsky's okay. What do you know? I thought he was a red shirt for sure.

Ha Ha Hammond! Hammond to Kennedy: "Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out."

Hey, they tricked me. Kawalsky isn't okay after all. Those bastards. And now he beat up Teal'c. Poor Teal'c. Can anyone explain to me how Kawalsky is all possessed even though they took out the Goa'uld larve? Oh, and another question - is everyone with a Goa'uld in them either a God or a Jafar?

Can anyone recommend a site with a really good, detailed episode guide?
