Mm, Robert Carlyle

I'm watching this movie "Flood," because Robert Carlyle is in it.

It's not a very good movie, unfortunately. And there are too many other actors getting too much screen time, LOL. Unfair! Robert Carlyle should be on screen every moment!

*Yawn*

The house is cold, wahhh. But we're going to have nice hot soup and bread for dinner, yay! And the laundry is almost done, yay!

mmmmm, Robert Carlyle.

No, I'm not stealing your subject line, that's what I always say when I think of RC :)

Hey, have you seen the Hamish McBeth series? If not, I can send them to you. He is delightful in that.

I've seen some of Hamish MacBeth (maybe the first series? I can't quite remember) and liked it! I mean, I liked RC, LOL, because how could I not. The mystery sort of format of the episodes didn't really do it for me; for some reason, I'm not a mystery sort of person.

It's not too mystery-y. It's more...i dunno...funny and a little romantic and a little angsty and such. Terribly, terribly funny. Definitely give it a go, because Mr. Carlyle is *so good* in it.

*luffs. owns all three seasons*
:)

I liked it okay, but yes, 'Flood' is not terribly good. Did you know that Mr. Carlyle has the role of um...Jacks? The main guy in 24? Anyway - his mentor. And in the two-hour special that'll air in November of 24, we'll get to see Mr. Carlyle!!
Wheeeeee!

*spazzes a little*

He's got so many new things out i haven't seen 'cause they've only been released in the UK. Arrgh!!

Ohhh, is your icon from Ravenous? That was an AMAZING, totally BIZARRE film. We were kind of shocked by how strange and unusual it was.

YES!
I adore Ravenous. It's one of my very favorite Carlyle movies. Sooo weird and slashy and bloody and strange and....strange.
:)

I didn't even realize for ages that he was in it (although when I saw the previews on TV I was definitely interested in the storyline). Once I found out he was in it, we got it from Netflix, and it was so GOOD. And really, really strange.

Heeeee.
I literally watched it every night for a month, i was *enthralled*.

If you want anymore Carlyle recs, just ask! I think i've seen pretty much everything.
:)

I'd love a list of your favorites! I really liked that Marilyn Hotchkiss Dancing School one (or whatever the actual title is, LOL) and of course 28 Weeks Later (even though he's not in it long enough, the parts that he is in he's fabulous) and PRIEST. I didn't care for Class of '76. I totally have to see The Full Monty again.

Oooooooooh, man. So hard! Heh. Some are hard to find, i'm afraid, though always for sale cheap online, like eBay.... Marilyn Hotchkiss was *wonderful*.... You didn't like Class of '76? I really enjoyed it, but then, it was a mystery thing, right.... :) Priest was wonderful! Oooh, yes!

Carla's Song is amazing, as is Go Now. And Face. And To End All Wars. And Plunkett and Maclaine....There's Only One Jimmy Grimble, Once Upon a Time in the Midlands, Trainspotting, of course, The Mighty Celt, Angela's Ashes if you can stand the angst... Also rather angsty would be Black and White, Hitler: The Rise of Evil - he's an amazing Hitler - Human Trafficking and Gunpowder, Treason and Plot, wherein he plays King James I.

Formula Fifty-One *aka The Fifty-first State* was funny, if a bit gross. Aaaaaaaand...that's pretty much it for stuff that's not too difficult to find. Oh! He was also in an episode of Cracker, called 'To Be a Somebody'.

His newer stuff is all pretty much just out this year and not available anywhere yet.

Enjoy!
