Is the Rambo movie I've been seeing ads for a NEW movie? Or a re-release of the original? There *is* an original Rambo movie isn't there? WTF, Sly?

I'd hazard to guess you've seen the ads for the NEW one (he admits he took human growth steroids so he could buff up for it). And it looked like Julie Benz was in the preview I saw.

There is an original Rambo, yes. And this ain't even close.

The first one was originally called "First Blood" then changed to "Rambo: First Blood" when it became a franchise.

Yes, this. The name "Rambo" did not appear in the title of the first movie, First Blood, but in the title of the second, Rambo: First Blood, Part II. My dad loves these flicks.

I have a very high Rocky tolerance -- especially the first movie and the last, which returned to the original formula; I love the "simple good man toughing it out" and "an honest loss can be a triumph" scenarios -- but I can't hack R and NC-17 violence, so Rambo is beyond my ken.
