It's wierd weird weard odd -- the first half of my day was pretty good. I had a good night's sleep last night and woke up before the boy did. I got a beautiful card in the mail from janedavitt. We did some errands, including a trip to the drug store where I finished up my stocking stuffer shopping, then came home and made some popcorn-and-cranberry strings, which we draped over the bushes in our side yard for the birds to eat. (So far they aren't eating them, but they aren't eating the bird seed in the feeder either, so I suspect they're huddled up somewhere trying to keep warm.)

But now I'm suddenly feeling very blue. I'm not writing. I have fic due before the end of the month that I haven't even started. I have tags I'm not writing. I managed to use the boy's new scissors to cut a "v" into my knuckle -- it bled everywhere and I had to put two bandaids onto it so tightly that the end of my finger was turning red before I could get it to stop. There are other things I should be doing that I'm not doing. Right now, in fact, I should be starting to cook dinner, but here I am at the computer instead.

I'm sharing your feelings; got original fic and a Christmas fic to write and D's parents arrive on Friday and I'm not getting on with the tidying at all :;sigh:: Just feeling very lethargic and indulgent.
