This morning we went grocery shopping. It is beastly, beastly hot here. It's horrid. In the afternoon, I dropped Mr WG and the boy off at a small local toy store, then went to a different toy store and bought some things for the boy's upcoming birthday. When he was smaller I could shop with him and he wouldn't really notice what I was buying, but he's too old for me to get away with that now. It was nice to get a few things for him, as I hate getting down to the wire and being unprepared.

We ended up going out for dinner because it was too hot to think about cooking. Mr WG and I split two meals -- something we used to do a lot but have fallen out of the habit of. We got a large dinner salad (with chicken, almonds, etc) and a turkey club sandwich with fries, and each ate half of the food. Mmm for variety, plus healthy salad and less fries!

Now I'm waiting for the boy to fall asleep so I can go out to the car and get his gifts and find somewhere in the house to hide them. ;-)

I've been writing a big fat nothing, which is very frustrating. Having my projects with both

flaming_muse and

janedavitt end at the same time was very bad planning on my part, LOL!

I'm writing zilch solo too ::sigh:: The fic with Bitca is going well but the original work is at a standstill and the SG-1 fic is stalling as I want to but I'm feeling that I don't have a secure grip on the canon/characters so I'm just making an idiot of myself trying ;-)

I think I've been spoilt by lovely co-writers.
