Dean Winchester, raised as an only child by a single mom who died in the apocalypse, spends his days driving across the country in his vintage Impala. He's rescued from a monster attack by a young stranger named Sam. The two get involved before they discover that the photo of his dad that Dean's been carrying around all these years is a photo of a man Sam recognizes, too. How will they deal with what they've found out? And how will they survive the post-apoc landscape?

Wow. This was amazing! I haven't been reading much SPN fic, but because it is yooooouuuuuuu I knew it wouldn't disappoint! And it didn't! Love your portrayal of a post-apocalyptic world, of how Sam and Dean are separated and then come together, and are separated again. Loved the Jo cameo!

Last night I finally gave up on an oh-so-bad (and not in a porny good way) BB, and went scrambling for another one to help restore my faith in fanfic. Your fic has done that. Thank you!

This was a nice, easy, read. I mean that in the sense that - even though at times I would have liked less "tell" and more "show" - both the flow of your writing and the way the story pulled me in, made it hard to put down. (Which I only did once 'cus it was like 4am. LOL)
My only real "complaint" is that I wanted it longer. To me this felt almost like an excerpt from a larger body of work, and there is just so much missing. Too many unanswered questions. How did this happen? What was the deal with John's death? Was he a hunter in this reality, and is Sam? (I know this was touched on, but for me it was rather confuzzling.) And Sam...what the hell is up with him? How did he die in the "wish" reality, and why did John take him away in this one??? Of course I want to know what happens next too, but that I can accept as sort of an open-ended story. The other things though, that's the kind of stuff that makes me feel like I'm missing pages of the story.
Other than that, it was a good fic...and I promise you it's a compliment that I enjoyed your story enough to even want those questions answered. *wink*

Thank you so much! I wish I had answers to all your questions. I can say in all honestly that I probably would not have finished this long-neglected story without the motivation of Big Bang. So mostly I am still in "hooray I finished it" mode!!
