I voted!

Go, me!

Even though I have a raging bladder infection and was afraid, if there were long lines, I might have to ask the person behind me to hold my space while I ran to the bathroom (repeatedly), LOL! But I waited and went after 9 am, when I thought many people would already be at work, and as a result there were virtually no lines when I walked in (although short ones were forming by the time I left).

The parking lot that I usually park in when I go to vote was completely full, with a big line of cars waiting for spots, so I zipped into one of the few empty spaces in the overspill lot and the boy and I walked over. (It was still a short walk.) There were definitely significantly more people voting than in any other election I've gone to. (Actually, I think in 2004 I had to wait in a line to check in etc, but we voted in the evening after work so it was a timing thing.)

The boy watched me fill out the ballot (we still have paper ones, which I like) and I have to admit there were a few tears in my eyes as I filled in the Obama/Biden oval.

Please.

I am so envious you guys still have paper ballots!! I want them (not just for nostalgia's sake either, I think they're far more reliable than the computer voting).

Wasn't it cool to just make that choice!! I totally had a chill down my spine when I picked the Obama/Biden ticket. :D

I've never used anything but the paper ones!
