You know, I don't know how it's with you but over here it's quite common to kiss a dead person goodbye once they've been laid out peacefully in the coffin. I couldn't do it with my grandparents for the exact same reason Ianto gives. That's the kind of cold you'll never ever forget. It's one thing to feel it in animals, it's quite another to feel it in a person you love. So I just kissed my fingertips and let them hover over their cheeks a brief moment, not touching.

This was very lovely, with Ianto's quiet but still passionate love for his captain. And I'm sorry for the, I now realise, rather morbid personal outburst. *blushes*
