Halloween costume ideas?

I sort of want to wear a Halloween costume this year when we go trick or treating, but I don't have any ideas. I'd prefer something comfortable (so, like, I don't want to be a bag of jelly beans where I shove balloons into a huge clear bag and wear it. I want to be able to sit down and stuff, LOL!) Any suggestions?

No specific ones, but if you base the costume around a pair of sweats, it'll be comfy! :-) Maybe a pair of white sweats with black tape cut to look like zebra stripes.

Well, other than comfortable, what do you *want* to be? I can think of a ton of things, but I don't know what's in your closet that can be finagled into a costume.

Zombie was the first comfortable costume to come to mind. ?Old jeans and shirt over a turtleneck, zombie makeup, voila!

do you have a long black skirt? you can be a road! put silver or yellow tape down the center of the skirt and safety pin some stuffed animals and/or pictures of animals cut out of magazines or something and pictures of cars to it. it might work with pants too - just make each leg a lane of traffic. bonus points for making some of the animals look like roadkill. :D

Make a "P" for the front of your shirt (can be painted on a tee or cut out of paper) and blacken your eye=Black eyed pea.

Wear an empty picture frame around your neck and go as a self portrait. Bonus if you have paint splattered clothes/shoes.

Friend of mine dressed normally but wore a pillow case over the top that had a barcode. He went as a "generic" costume.

A few of the ideas: Wear a white chef's hat and apron, and carry an iron (real or toy). What are you? An iron chef.

Tape a $1 bill to each ear to be a buccaneer.

On a black T-shirt and pants, make a line of dashes with white duct tape, starting at a bottom pant leg and ending at the shirt neckline, to simulate highway-lane dividing lines. Fasten a plastic fork across the dashes on the shirt to be a "fork in the road."

I went as 'a stormy sky' once. I wore some dark blue leggings, a silver shirt, and lots and lots of cotton/polyfill pinned to me all over. Had my hair all teased out and shiny silver/blue make up.

It was awesome.

Overalls - freckles, straw hat or braids.

Better yet, a box of cereal and yarn to make it into a necklace. Stick a knife (rubber if you're worried) and go as a cereal killer.

I don't remember where you live, so if it's Northwest Florida, you can't do this, because I've got dibs. :)

Seriously, though, you can do what I'm doing if you want. I'm going to get a cheap pair of pom-poms and write "Go, Ceiling, Go!!!" on a t-shirt. Maybe some hair ties in the same colors.

Yep. For Halloween, I'm gonna be a ceiling fan.
