My everyday stuff is thick clear glassware, hand-made in Italy, square-shaped with rounded corners. I bought it (I believe) in 1975 and walked home about a mile (!!!) carrying the 40 piece service for 8. The bowls have two handles and the cups/saucers are just perfect for tea. What I think is most striking is that I can place the dinner plates on top of my choice of chargers (red, silver or gold) and have that be the focal point (rather than merely a decorative rim).
Since I moved, there's no room in the shared kitchen for my bread machine, so it's in my storage locker. ::pouts::
Coke ... though I'm trying not to drink it except on special occasions. So I brew up a pot of different herbal tea each day and chill it.
