wesleysgirl: (Sentinel)
I have finally finished and posted the amazing and incredibly patient [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt's birthday fic. It's part of the Sentinel AU series written for her birthdays, and this year it's a ridiculous 3 weeks late, but... better late than never?

This one's called
As the Sun Was Rising
Sentinel, Jim/Blair, 9858 words according to AO3.
It also does double duty for my incomplete Trope_Bingo card, but I won't list the trope now so it can come as a surprise in the story. :-)

I wrote some Sentinel fic for [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt's birthday! Which was several weeks ago now, but hopefully the phrase 'better late than never' still applies to birthday fic.

Set in the same AU Sentinel 'verse as Jane's previous birthday stories:
Early One Morning
Dearly and Warm
Culled From the Garden
Surely But a Fancy and
Turning and Changing (which was a prequel to the rest of the series)

This story is a sequel to "Turning and Changing" and therefore a prequel to the rest of the series as well.
Sentinel, Jim/Blair, 7700 words, NC-17

Continuing my tradition of writing Sentinel fic for [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt's birthday. Happy birthday, Jane, with much love!

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] zortified for the beta!

Set in the same AU Sentinel 'verse as Jane's previous birthday stories:
Early One Morning
Dearly and Warm
Culled From the Garden and
Surely But a Fancy.

This story is a prequel to those stories.

Happy Birthday, Jane! You're the best!

Massive thanks to [livejournal.com profile] justhuman for her significant beta help, and to [livejournal.com profile] bethynyc and [livejournal.com profile] thebratqueen for the prompts/inspiration.

Set in the same AU 'verse as previous birthday stories:
Early One Morning, Dearly and Warm and Culled From the Garden.

This story is a birthday present for the much-loved [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt. It is set in the same AU 'verse as previous birthday stories Early One Morning and Dearly and Warm.

Happy birthday, Jane!!!

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] justhuman for the beta, and to [livejournal.com profile] dawnie1970 and [livejournal.com profile] bluespirit_star for providing the dog's name (and to everyone else who made suggestions!).

(I've been meaning to post this for a couple of weeks, but kept forgetting!)

Over the summer, the lovely [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt and I co-wrote a Sentinel fic for the Moonridge edition of My Mongoose. The theme was The Many First Times of Jim and Blair. Now that the anthology has gone live for everyone (not just those who generously donated in exchange for being able to read all the stories right away), you can read our story here:

All At Sea (NC-17, 23k words)

Thanks to Lisa Adolf for the beautiful accompanying artwork, to [livejournal.com profile] mab_browne for beta reading and to Patt and Lisa, the Mongoose editors, and all who contributed to it and raised money for Moonridge. And buckets of thanks and love, as always, to Jane. :-D

A present for [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt in honor of her birthday. Set in the same 'verse as last year's birthday fic, Early One Morning.

Sentinel, Jim/Blair, NC-17. 1128 words. (It's my goal to write Jane a longer birthday fic than the year before's every year. By the time she hits her 60s, I'll be writing novels!)

Dearly and Warm )

I agreed to write 5k words of Sentinel fic for [livejournal.com profile] ponders_life in exchange for her generous donation to [livejournal.com profile] fire_fic. She's been very patient with me, and this is only my second foray into the fandom, but here it finally is.

[livejournal.com profile] ponders_life's request: Set the story in 2008 (or at least a few years after TSbyBS). Take a guest star character and have him/her/them cross paths with Jim and Blair again. Jim and Blair separated after rift, third party is catalyst for reunion. Must end on an upbeat/hopeful note.

5600 words, R. Incredible thanks to [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt for the vital advice and the beta.

Time to Find You )

Well, I've gone and done it.

Lost my Sentinel virginity, that is. :-)

This is for [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt. Happy birthday, sweetheart!

Early One Morning (Jim/Blair, PG) )

ETA: Ack! In my haste to post, I forgot to thank the lovely [livejournal.com profile] mmmchelle for the beta. Thank you, chelle! :-)
